Judicial GavelDUTIES: The Attorney General represents the State of Maryland in all legal proceedings. The Attorney General serves as legal counsel to the Governor, the legislature, and all State departments, boards and most commissions.
SALARY: $125,000 annual base (This is the current salary. A proposal by the Governor’s Salary Commission to raise the salary in 2013 and 2014 was rejected by the legislature in 2010)
TERM: Four years, no term limit
HOW ELECTED: Elected statewide.
