What are the LWV Membership Code and Number?

Each member is assigned a unique LWV Member Number by LWVUS. It's usually 6 or 7 digits long, unless you joined LWV a long time ago.

Each Member is also assigned a three-digit code. Most members will be L1V.

1st Character
-L is recruited by local League
-N is recruited by national
-R is recruited by national but now belongs to a local
-S is student

2nd Character
-1 is individual member
-2 is first person of a dual membership
-3 is second person in a dual membership
-4 is a 50-year member

3rd Character
- V is voting member (US citizen 18 years or more)
- M is a minor (US citizen less than 18 years)
- N is a non-US citizen of any age
