Mfume’s topic is “The New American Demographic and What It Means Politically for Democrats and Republicans.” His talk will be held in the Gordon Center for the Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave., Owings Mills, Thursday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Other lectures in the series include an Immigration Panel, February 22; Howard County Health Official, Dr. Peter Beilenson on “The Health Care Crisis”, March 13; and School Superintendent Dr. Joe A. Hairston on “Education in Baltimore County”, April 10. These 7:30 p.m. lectures will held in the Towson Unitarian Universalist Church, 1710 Dulaney Valley Road, Lutherville, and will be preceded by a wine and cheese reception.
Reservations for all four lectures are available at $35 for the series. The individual lecture cost is $10. Reservations will be available at the door. Proceeds from the events will go toward the Baltimore County League’s Voter Service efforts, including the publication of its widely acclaimed Voters' Guides.
